2026 Election Dates

State Primary Election - August 11, 2026 10am-8pm

State General Election - November 3, 2026 10am-8pm

You may apply for an absentee ballot any time during the year, except the day of the election. Leave time for election officials to mail your ballot and mailing time to return your voted ballot.

For the March Township election, apply for an Absentee Ballot through the town clerk. Your ballot will be mailed to the address you request on your application.

For state and federal elections, return your completed absentee application to your county election office by mail, fax or email.

To complete the Absentee Ballot Application, you will need to provide:

· Minnesota driver’s license or ID card, the last 4 digits of your Social Security number, and an email address

Your returned ballot must be received by Election Day.

You can return your ballot in person no later than 5 p.m. on Election Day to the election office that sent your ballot.

NOTE: If you have applied to be a Permanent Absentee Voter, your ballot will only be mailed to the address where you live (residence). The ballot will not be forwarded to a different address.
